Hope you're feline better!

I am sharing a get well card I made for Pink and Main Stamps. How cute is this kitten? I used two different stamp sets and their new square nesting dies. I also used the scallop border dies for the white piece. I love that they come in so many sizes. I love breaking out my embossing folders...I won't tell you how many I have...shhhhh! It was perfect to use the paw prints folder for the pink background. I also used my trusty prismacolor pencils and blended it with gamsol for the kitty. I stamped various chalk inks for the paw and hearts around the square. Finished it off with some polka dot ribbon and a paw print brad. So cute! :)

Hang in There

SLOTHS!!! I was so so excited when these bad boys came in the mail. I am in love with them. I mean who doesn't love sloths? Pink and Main Stamps also came out with a new set of rounded square nesting dies. They are fantastic. For this card I used two different size shapes and made a large frame. Easey-peasey and I love the kraft paper background too. :)

Tickled Pink

Sharing a quick and simple non-traditional holiday card. I am loving this flamingo. This is a set with matching dies by Pink and Main Stamps. The stamps can be found here. Perfect for flamingo lovers or people that live in a warmer climate. :)

DCWV & Pink and Main Fall Blog Hop!

Can you believe Halloween is Monday? I'm still doing last minute costume shopping! I don't know about you, but I can't wait for these crisp Fall days. Speaking of Fall... Pink and Main teamed up with Die Cuts With A View (DCWV) to create and inspire some awesome Fall crafting. Let's dive right in...

For my project, I created a Fall themed centerpiece. I had a blast with this one. Not only was I using a fantastic Fall paper pad (lots of copper foiling!) from DCWV, but I used several stamps sets from Pink & Main. They paired awesome together. I will have a list of supplies used at the bottom.

************************************
First, I started with the rosettes. If you haven't put one together, its just folded accordion paper strips. It's so cool and when you complete one, the rest will be a piece of cake! If you need some extra help, there are some awesome tutorials on YouTube and many websites have cut files for convenience.

SHHHHH...I have a sneak peak....the layered dies on top of the rosettes (circle and flower) are Pink and Main's new large dies!! They are amazing and will be available soon!

I placed the wooden dowels to the back of the rosettes with hot glue. Those suckers weren't going anywhere! Then they were pushed through the floral foam. Next step was to place the "hay" around to cover up the foam and dowels.

The picture below is not showing how shiny and pretty the copper embossing is. I had a big dilemma with this one. What do you do when you can't get to the craft store and you need copper colored embossing powder....YOU MAKE YOUR OWN! I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder and when I heated it with my heat tool, while it was still hot. rolled it in perfect pearls copper. Then I heat set it again and it baked into the embossing powder....voila!! I still can't believe it worked!
WARNING: It made a mess :)

Merry Christmas Lights

Hello all! Today I am sharing a card I created for Pink and Main stamps. How adorable is this little guy? I had fun creating this card using a buckle technique. I used my colored pencils and gamsol to color. Also got to play with some Jolee's string lights. That was fun! Don't forget to check out this and other cute stamps at Pink and Main.

Example of the fold and cuts to create the front of the card.

Penguin Spinner Card

Hello there,

So I decided I would give a little more in depth instructions for my card this week. I even video taped a little snippet of how the spinner works, eeek! First, these stamps are from the fab Pink and Main stamp shop. I haven't made a spinner card for some time so I thought I'd work with this cute penguin.

Here is a look at how the pennies are sandwiched. I used the 1/8" foam for this.

Another view of how the penny fits into the channel.

This is the pink heart piece flipped upside down. This is where the channel is cut out using the punch. You must make sure that you leave enough room for the penny to spin by placing the foam tape (3/4) on the outside of this piece.

Close up to see the foam tape.

Finally....

Video to show the spinner in action.

Zombie love

This is a fairly non-traditional anniversary card, but when you watch the Walking Dead with your spouse it's seems appropriate. He loved it!

Many thanks

This one was super fun for me to make. My mom quilts and I dabble in it a bit. So when Pink & Main came out with hexagon dies I set out to create a paper quilt. I really love how it turned out.

Sorry for your loss

No one ever wants to have to send a sympathy card, but unfortunately it's part of life. Help someone find comfort by taking the time to make a handmade card. It might just be the thing to brighten someones day.
