We are celebrating Pink and Main’s February Release with a fun and inspirational blog hop! Be sure to go to the website (www.pinkandmain.com) and check out all the new stamps and dies! And be sure not to miss the brand new paper line that we are very excited to debut... we have 3 new 6x6 paper pads that are perfect for spring and coordinate with each other. Please hop along through all of the design team members’ blogs, and a couple of guest designers’ too. There will be prizes along the way.
For my project, I created a fun scrapbook layout. Anytime I can play with ink, stamps, and scrapbook about my favorite subject (my kiddo, niece and nephews) I'm happy. I did a little beginner mixed media...well very beginner! I used clear gesso on the white paper to give it "tooth", so it would grab the watercolor sprays. The pearly shine isn't coming through as I had hoped. That part is much prettier in person. I also broke out the sewing machine!!! Yes, that in its self is a miracle. I did some black stitching for some texture and also ran it through the title. Let's talk about that title...that's one of our brand spankin' new dies and stamp sets, Smile. Also, you will see I used some awesome artsy cameras...well that's one of the new sets too, Candid Moments. I am in love with them. I see many, many uses for these. I also pulled out an older favorite of mine, directional borders, for the arrow under the title and some perfect washi tape I had in my stash.
Another fun feature is the cut out bubble borders that I used on the photo strips to make them removable. I was blown away with the precision in which these dies cut. Pics below (please forgive my rather unattractive, yet well loved cutting mat). When I was done running it through my machine, the circles just fell out with no effort. These two border cut files coordinate with another previously released stamped set called Bubbly Borders.
Let's talk about the new paper pads in this release. I am sooooo excited that Pink and Main has dove into the world of paper. I used two of the three new pads. The Shades of Spring paper pad is bright, fun, and very versatile. The Spring Color Pop paper pad is so cool and they can coordinate together. I love the black and white designs. All of the patterned paper used on this layout is from those pads except the two largest pages which make up my background.
NOW HOW ABOUT WINNING AN AWESOME PRIZE!
Each blog has a prize to give away, and I am excited to give away the Candid Moments stamp set. To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment and follow my blog here, and on every blog in the hop. We will choose random winners from the comments and post them on the Pink and Main blog on the 15th. Here is the lineup for the hop, enjoy!
